Nell’entroterra, per gli affascinati dai viaggi nel deserto si trova il Sahara: altezzose dune che si perdono all’orizzonte, solitarie oasi e le genti del deserto, i Tuareg, che vivono ancora come ai tempi delle carovane.
Gli interessati alla storia piu recente potranno visitare Tabruk, teatro di famosi scontri nella Seconda Guerra Mondiale e adesso sito di grandi cimiteri.
